Scouts and Explorer Scouts from Groups and Units in Mid Sussex were presented with Certificates for Chief Scout and Duke of Edinburgh Awards by Jo Shiner, Chief Constable of Sussex Police at a ceremony at Horsham’s Drill Hall.
The Chief Scout Gold Award is the highest award that can be earned in the Scout section. Award winners often progress to the Duke of Edinburgh Award when they move to the Explorer Scout Section, where they can gain the award alongside the Chief Scout Platinum and Diamond awards.
