With 4 Scout groups in Burgess Hill, 3 in Haywards Heath, and 7 in the villages in Mid Sussex and 5 Explorer units across the District, there will be a Scout Group or Explorer Scout Unit near you that could use extra help.
We have waiting lists for young people to join the sections but cannot expand to provide Scouting for these young people. With more people working from home several days a week, or even permanently could you put the travelling time saved to good use helping in a group near you?
No experience of Scouting? Experience is not necessary, as training is available for the roles.
Can’t make every week? Job share is possible, indeed this is already taking place where we have a number of leaders in a section.
