As you are no doubt aware, the UK Scouts Volunteer Experience Transformation Project is underway with a goal of making volunteering with Scouts easier and more fun so that we can attract more volunteers and retain them for longer.
In order to make everyone aware of what is changing and to answer as many questions as possible, each District in West Sussex are running briefings for operational/uniformed roles and a separate one for Executive Committee/trustee roles. A member of the West Sussex Transformation team will be in attendance at both events.
Our District’s events will take place as follows:
Trustee Briefing – Friday 12th May 2023 – click here to register
Open to all District and Group executive committee officers and members, including Group Scout Leaders.
Operational Briefing – Thursday 18th May 2023 – click here to register
Open to all adult volunteers, including active support and sub-committee members.
If you have multiple roles, that includes operational and trustee, you are welcome to attend both briefings.
It is important that every Group has representation at these events to give them a chance to hear the details and ask questions about the changes that will impact how we all volunteer.
